Christmas lights — on houses and on the community Christmas tree — make wonderfully dramatic and exciting photos. But there are a couple of tricks of the trade to make them look their best in your photos.
It’s easier to take good photos of holiday lights with a 35mm single lens reflex camera, since most point-and-shoot cameras can't handle the requirements to do them justice.
Whether you have a 35mm SLR or a "point-and-shoot" model, here are some tips to help you take terrific photos of the magic holiday lights:
