A student from Rappahannock has enrolled as a first semester freshman at David Lipscomb University.
Christopher Dean Stone is one of more than 695 first-time students enrolled at Lipscomb, an increase of nearly 8 percent from last fall, said James C. Allen, vice-president for administrative services.
Stone is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dean Stone of Amissville and is a graduate of Rappahannock High School.
Stone is among 2,272 students enrolled at Lipscomb University this fall, an increase of 15 students from this time last year, Allen said.
This year’s figure includes record enrollments in the graduate program in Bible and the Accelerated Adult Studies Program.
Including the Lipscomb Campus School, a total of 3,710 students are enrolled at Lipscomb this fall. The Campus School has 1,438 students in kindergarten through grade 12 this fall, representing an increase of 132 students in the last four years.
