Mr. Silas Jolliffe returned home on Saturday after being a surgical patient at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Bawkey of Rixeyville and Mrs. Eugene Dodson have returned home after spending two weeks in Florida.
Mr. Charles H. Hackley of Falls Church was a weekend guest of his mother Mrs. Mattie Hackley.

The following businesses and county offices will be closed this week for the Thanksgiving holiday:
Rappahannock County Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly dismissed at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 and resume classes on Monday, Nov. 30.
Rappahannock County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday as will the county’s Social Services Department.
Family Guidance Services of Rappahannock will be closed Thursday and Friday. In case of an emergency, clinic staff may be reached by calling 675-3329.
The Rappahannock Library will be closed Thursday and Friday as will the Rappahannock Health Department.
Area post offices will be closed Thursday.
The Rappahannock National Bank in Washington and the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Flint Hill will be closed on Thursday. - The Rappahannock News will be closed Thursday. The News office, will observe normal business hours on Friday.
