BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech agricultural economists, in conjunction with NationsBank and Cooperative Extension farm management agents, will be holding a series of workshops around the state in January on “Using Computers to Manage the Modem Farm.”
Gordon Groover, agricultural economist, said the programs are intended for agricultural producers who are considering or have recently purchased a micro-computer. The program will provide farmers with the basic knowledge of micro-computers and software that are relevant to agricultural businesses.
Groover said the free workshops would benefit any producer who is interested in using computers to cut costs and management time, to provide information for credit approvals, or to keep pesticide records.
