The annual Madison County fox drag race was held last Saturday on the farm of Lawton Blankenbaker in Madison ‘ County. After the race, the horn blowing contests were held for both junior and senior classes. Little Randy Smith of Amissville was the winner of the junior competition. Young Randy blew some strong notes that rivalled the lungs of the more experienced hornmen.

Kristie Johnson, senior at Rappahannock County High School, has been selected for the DAR “Good Citizen” award.
