Virginia Specialties, the 1992 gifts-hy mail catalogue, is available free from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

The catalogue features Virginia gourmet foods, such as free-range veal and farm-raised venison, applewood smoked trout and Atlantic salmon, Smithfield and country-cured ham and shiitake mushrooms.

Also, Virginia wines and non alcoholic beverages, regional soup blends and mixes, jams and jellies, peanuts and peanut candy, gift baskets, and unique sweets such as cheese cake truffles, horseshoe cookies, chocolate sauces, cakes, pies and more.

It even includes mail order Christmas trees and ornaments made from Virginia lambs’wool!

One hundred and five Virginia companies, which sell more than 500 Virginia products by mail, are included in the catalogue. The catalogue lists general product descriptions, price ranges and last order dates.
