The School Board had written to the supervisors asking whether the county would be willing to build the middle school starting by purchasing land for it by summer. The School Board had asked for a decision before their meeting next week. If the county can not support a middle school, the School Board has said it wants to put additions on both schools.
Following the meeting Mr. Estes and Chairman Hubert Gilkev from Wakefield district said they would have supported a separate school with a lower price tag.
