Quaker meetings

Silent Quaker meetings will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday at The Child Care Learning Center. Children are welcome.

NSDAR luncheon meeting

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 for a dutch treat luncheon at the Holiday Inn, Culpeper. The program will be “Our American Heritage: Sharing Our Treasures.”

Storyhour to begin

Preschool storyhour will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Rappahannock County Library. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to come and enjoy the stories, crafts, and activites. The programs will continue every Tuesday through March.

Support group to meet

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have a Valentine’s social from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Parrish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church. For directions, information or to arrange transportation call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.

Baseball, softball registration

The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold baseball registration for children five years old by Dec. 31,1992 and not over 18 by Aug. 1 and girls softball ages seven-15 years old will be held from 10a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 13, 20, and 27. The locations will be at the Flint Hill fire hall, Rappahannock High School and Amissville fire hall. Cost is $25 for first child, $20 for second child and $15 for each family member thereafter. Fees and birth certificate required at time of registration. Due to league growth, you must register on one of these dates. Draft date to be announced at registration. Scouts taking cookie orders

The Rappahannock Girl Scouts of the Virginia Skyline Girl Scout ; Council will begin taking orders for Girl Scout cookies on Friday, Jan. < 22.
