The Commonwealth Transportation Board has awarded the contract to widen a section of Route 3 between the Orange County line at the Rapidan River and Lignum.
L.F. Franklin and Sons Inc. of Stephenson could begin work as early as next month under the $2,377,114, 360-day contract awarded by the Hoard at its meeting in Richmond last Thursday.
