According to Ratcliff, along with raising funds, the MS WALKers, sponsors and volunteers may be involved in several new programs including:
• The Sole Mate Program, which connects walkers with local people with MS and inspires them to walk in honor of the person. Through personal phone calls, meeting and finish line greeting, WALKers will get a chance to meet the people who will directly benefit from all their hard work.
• Messages For MS, invites walkers, volunteers and sponsors to create messages describing their own heartfelt wishes, hopes and prayers for people with MS. These messages will be put on a Message Wall at the MS WALK, and later will be shared with people who have MS and their families.
