Mrs. Sims said she had sent in written suggestions, but they arrived after the deadline. She said she believed member Lucia Kilby, who missed last Thursday's meeting, had also sent in written suggestions. Member Mary Jamieson said she had been ill and had not been able to get her suggestions in until the day before the meeting.
“Although you have done a marvelous job of amassing this, I don’t want it railroaded through,” Mrs. Jamieson said.
After considerable discussion the board voted not to consider the bylaws at the January meeting but to set a special meeting for February 4 to go over the proposed by-laws page by page.
“We can be very quick about this,” Mrs. Sims said.
“I doubt that, but possibly,” Mr. McCarthy said.
