Many of those deaths might have been preventable. The Rappahannock County Unit of the American Heart Association is dedicated to the vital purpose of heart health throughout our community.
During American Heart Month more than 75 volunteer “block workers" will be canvassing the county "neighbor to neighbor.” These local volunteers are donating their time and energy during this month to educate their neighbors in the community about the causes and warning signs related to stroke and other heart diseases. They will also be raising funds to help support the life saving research and educational programs that further the mission of the , American Heart Association.
