Charlottesville residents are invited to be “Friends Helping Families” at the MS WALK, formerly the SUPER CITIES WALK FOR MS, to be held this year on Saturday, March 27 in Charlottesville.
Walkers, sponsors, and volunteers will be able to give their personal encouragement to at least 1100 area families affected by multiple sclerosis a chronic disease of the central nervous system that affects mostly young adults as well as to help fund MS research and services for people with the disease.
‘The dedication of our walkers', sponsors and volunteers at our past walks has always been overwhelming,” said Amy Ratcliff, Area Chairperson for the Blue Ridge Chapter’s MS WALK. “These people give their time, talents and efforts to help people with MS. This year we’ve decided to celebrate that dedication with the theme ‘Friends Helping Families’, and to provide concrete opportunities for people to express their caring.”
