The junior varsity squad did not fare any better over the past week, losing to both Central and Page.
After the Central game, Rappahannock coach Gary Leake said he was proud of the way the team had played. He praised Jolliffe’s play highly and said he also was impressed with junior A1 Kellert, who Was starting only his second game at forward. “With eight rebounds and 10 points he was a vital part of our game,” Leake said.
The Panthers have two home games left on their schedule: against Clarke County on Feb. 10 and against George Mason on Feb. 16. They close out their season at Clarke County on Feb. 19. The District tournament begins on Monday, Feb. 22.
