Those providing programs were Sally Mello on bees, storyteller (and counselor) Mike Dunnigan, Margaret and Elsie Dodson on the history of Shenandoah National Park, and finger Brearton with a puppet presentation.
On the last day of camp, the kids had a field day which included water balloon races and “catch the flag.” They then cooled off in the 4-H pool for a couple of hours, playing games and enjoying free swim time.
“Our 4-H day camp has developed into a nice summer tradition for children in the county. I’m so grateful for our volunteer teachers and teen leaders who make it happen,” said Helen Smith, Extension Agent.
