New York City’s 18th Street Playhouse and The Private Showing at the 13th Street Theatre. Other productions of Ms. White’s plays have been at The Guild Theatre in Boulder, Colo, where she lived before moving to Rappahannock in 1991.
Of the current production, Ms. White said, “It’s been interesting discovering that what felt like my baby has a lot of creative room in the directing of it. I’ve needed to let go of the movement and music, and step back and let a new production happen while still honoring what I know.”
With her other plays she has been everything froml the writer with no say in the production to the director. “This is the most involved I’ve been without actually directing,” she said. She has been attending rehearsals about once a week, but expects to attend more often this week as the play heads into actual production.
