It’s not your average horse show.
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department has scheduled its First Annual Equestrian Games for Saturday July 30.
Classes and competition are planned to provide much variety. For both juniors, those under age 12, and seniors competitions scheduled include “Command Class,” “Apple Bobbing,” “Musical Buckets,” “Egg and Spoon,” “Ride-aBuck” and “Barrel Race.”
In open competition there are the “Rescue Race,” “Pole Bending,” “Broomstick Polo” for teams of three, “Single Pole Jumping— Knowck Down & Out,” “Bareback Jumping” and “Gambler’s Choice Jumping.”
The event will take place at the Carol Quaintance Farm on Route 663.
