Sunny began her musical career at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor of Music from Howard University, where she studied under internationally renowned artists Grady Tate and Geri Allen. She has performed at the Smithsonian Institution’s Baird Auditorium, Blues Alley and Takoma Station, and the Village Gate in New York City, and in Italy.
