Eleanor Coppage

Eleanor Clatterbuck Coppage, 69, of Sperryville died Saturday, May 6 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

She was bom Feb. 28, 1926, in Rappahannock County to the late Joshua and Ada Fincham Burke.

Her husband was the late James Floyd Clatterbuck.

She was a member of Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville.

She is survived by three daughters, Virginia C. Smith and Linda C. Jenkins, both of Sperryville and Margaret Dean of Elkton; four grandchildren, Anthony W. Jenkins and Roger Wesley Cooke, both of Sperryville, Tina Lam and Lance Lam, both of Elkton and one greatgrandchild, Amy Jenkins of Sperryville.

Also surviving are two sisters, Annie Mehaffey of Florida and Reba Dodson Coppage of Rixeyville.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 9 at Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper with interment at Sperryville Cemetery.

The Rev. Kirby Shenk assisted by Rev. John Burke officiated.
