Those planning to have the cholesterol screening done either on May 13 or later at the hospital should fast (not eat or drink anything except water) for 12 hours prior to having a blood sample taken.
The health fair will also feature displays and information on exercise and fitness, family issues, poison prevention, home and outdoor safety, skin cancer, foot care, eye care, immunization, fat-free and low-fat foods, women’s health and stretching exercises. Special events for the kids include the Heart Healthy Clown and face painting.
