He was bom March 6, 1916, in Woodville in Rappahannock County in the “Old Stone House in Jenkins Hollow” to the late James Rosser and Rosalee Hawkins Singleton.
He resided in Culpeper County for 70 years, was a member of the Gourdvine Baptist Church in Rixeyville, and was an active farmer and furniture refinisher and enjoyed coon hunting.
Mr. Singleton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Scott Singleton; one son, Willie Ross Singleton Jr. and his wife, Sandi of Rixeyville; one daughter, Sharon R. Williams and her husband, Richard of Haymarket.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tony Singleton of Saudi Arabia, Gwen Singleton of Amissville, Julie Singleton of Rixeyville, Tracy Williams of Manassas, Richard Williams of Haymarket, Daniel Minton of Fredericksburg and Maile Minton Brown of Rixeyville.
Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by two sister, Mabel Howell and Annie Hitt.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 6 at Found & Sons Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. Jim Crane and the Rev. John S. Miller officiating.
Interment followed in 11 i 1 lc rest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Woody Tharp, Donnie Johnston, Powell O’Bannon, Randolph Woodward, Ennis Bawkey and Paul Compton.
Honorary pallbearers were Menefe Utz, James Bailey, Mai Hill, Marshall Jenkins and Roy Hitt.

She was bom in Fauquier County on SepL 1,1916.
She was a retired secretary for Fauquier County Public School System.
