On May 20 the Workspace for Choreographers in Sperryville will present choreographer/performer Shane O’Hara in an evening of thought provoking dance works. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and will conclude with an informal reception/discussion with O’Hara.
Sally Nash, director of the Workspace says, “He is an exciting performer, the kind that makes muscles twitch. He has a sense of humor, quick changes of mood, and a degree of physical risk-taking not often seen in modern dance. In this concert he will also be taking another kind of risk: one. of the dances is a structured improvisation, which means that O’Hara will be making movement choices as he goes along within certain parameters.”
