In Rappahannock County Circuit Court last week, Roy Wayne Sisk, 31, of Sperryville, was indicted by the Grand Jury for two felonies, malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding.

The charges stem from an incident which occurred at the 211 Quicke Mart last December 31. The malicious wounding charge against him is for injuries sustained by Ernest R. Fletcher, who died in March. Mr. Sisk is charged with attempting to maliciously wound Michael Starks, who was with Mr. Fletcher that night.

If found guilty of both charges, Mr, Sisk could be sentenced up to 30 years in the penitentiary, and be fined up to $100,000.

His next day in court will be on June 15.
