coast. Last week he did a book signing in Tysons Comer. In December, he was a guest on “Good Morning America.” This week he is in Philadelphia taping a TV show called “Home Matters” for the Discovery Channel. In February, he taped a two-hour cooking show for the American Health Network which will be aired, later this year, also on the Discovery Channel, and did a cooking show in January with Lindsey Gustin for Channel 10 in Fairfax. He has a book signing trip to Hawaii and California planned for July, and his secretary has him scheduled for book signings up to October.
Locally, he will be doing a book signing, with food samples, at Linden Vineyards on May 24. Reservations and tickets are required; call Linden Vineyards to sign up. On May 10, he will be doing a book signing at Waldenbooks in Fredericksburg from 1 to 3 p.m.
Two weeks ago Chef O’Connell spent a few days at the Willard in Washington, D.C. He and one of his chefs at The Inn, Kevin Binkley, went to the Willard to cook several recipes from the cookbook, which are being featured as a fivecourse meal for this whole month for $65,
