The Lady Panthers hosted Page County on Wednesday. The last meeting between these two teams went to eight innings with Rappahannock losing 1-0. Page County took the lead in the first inning scoring four runs off of two walks, two Rappahannock errors, and a single by Smith. The Lady Panthers came back to score one run in the first on a single by Emily Taylor.
Rappahannock kept from scoring in the second inning. Kylene Wolfe started off the bottom of the second with a single and was driven in by Meghan Fairbrother. After two complete innings Page was still leading 42. Page scored two more runs over the next two innings increasing their lead by four funs. The Lady Panthers scored two more runs in the bottom of the fourth off of a walk drawn by Julie Atkins and a single by Fairbrother. With the score 6-4, Rappahannock failed to score again and lost by a final score of 10-4.
Julie Comer was the winning pitching. She struck out eight batters while only walking three. She gave up six hits to the Lady Panthers. Margo Haynes was on the mound for Rappahannock. She struck out seven batters and only gave up two hits. “Margo had another good perforBankrupt?
