Benefit Auction Planned

The annual Rappahannock Lions Club benefit auction will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 6 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Anyone wishing to donate items should contact Roger Andrews, 987-8974 or Hal McDermott, 675-1028.

RCES PTO Bicycle Raffle

The Rappahannock County Elementary School PTO is holding a raffle to benefit the 7th grade trip to Williamsburg. The prizes are one Girl’s 24” 10-Speed Mountain Style Bicycle and one Boy’s 24” 10-Speed Mountain Style Bicycle. Tickets cost $1 each or $20 for 25 tickets. The PTO reserves the right to exchange the prizes if one or both of the bicycles are unsuitable. Tickets are available in the school office. The drawing will be held April 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the RCES office.

Casino Royale Planned

Benefit Auction Scheduled

Mountain Laurel Montessori School of Front Royal will hold their second annual country auction at 1 p.m. on April 27 to benefit the school at the Linden Fire Hall just off Route 66, exit 13 in Linden. Antiques, handmade furniture, household goods and many unusual goods and services from local businesses such as canoe trips down the Shenandoah, a power parachute ride over the Blue Ridge Mountains, and dinner at the Inn at Washington will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
