There is continuing leakage at the schools and he said the roofs are in second and third stages of deterioration throughout, and recent repairs have just been “band-aid fixes.” There is also some saturated insulation. He said that the roofs had not been designed or installed properly. All in all he painted a very bleak picture about the roofs at the schools, and said ‘They need to be budgeted for replacement.”
The roofs hold water and “pools” form on them. Board chairman John Tole said that common sense says they are very likely to have problems with flat roofs. I want to get the water off that roof, he said.
The board thoroughly discussed the roofs, and what kind of roofs should be put on as replacements, and called a special meeting on Friday
