An unfortunate accident happened at the Ben Venue Races on April 5 which injured six people.
According to Major Rick MacWelch of the Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle parked at the races rolled forward, striking another vehicle, causing it to strike some picnickers. He said that nobody was seriously injured, but four of the six who were injured were transported to hospitals.
A major burglary took place at the house of Margaret Saunders on Fodderstack Road in Flint Hill on April 4. Deputy Chris Williams said that an estimated $5600 worth of items were taken from the house,
