Beth works with pre-kindergarteners and first and second graders.

“Both of us do hearing screenings on an average 15 to 20 a week depending on the month,” said Melissa.

“The school, and we, are so appreciative of this gift from the Lions Club. We are delighted to have it and we thank Mr. Anderson for all his hard work,” she said.

“This booth enables us to get a more accurate screening,” she said. “Before we had problems due to background noise from the playground distracting the students and making it difficult to hear responses.”

Melissa said they are especially fortunate to have the booth since re-conditioned ones are hard to find and harder to get. “We’re the only county in the area that was able to get one,” she said. “It’s not very often that re-conditioned booths are available.”

She credits the Lions for that. The Lions purchased the booth through Arundel Calibrations of
