A motorcycle accident sent 38year-old Geoffrey H. Barnes of Washington, D.C. to the emergency room at Culpeper Hospital on the morning of April 5. He was riding a 1995 Honda motorcycle on U.S. 211, four miles west of Route 667, was braking downhill, lost control and overturned, according to Virginia State Trooper C.A. Moore’s accident report. He was not going over the speed limit, but was going over the maximum safe limit for that stretch of highway.
