In addition, what they don’t tell you about this particular compost bin is that when you pull out the pins to remove a side for turning the pile, the whole bin falls apart, . and you must rebuild it.
The composting bins that tumble effortlessly to produce “rich fertilizer in 30 days” sell for only $120 and claim to hold 85 pounds of compost. At 22 inches (width) by 29 inches (height) by 27 inches (diameter), it is smaller than the above composter. Compost is relatively low in nutrients and hardly ranks as a rich fertilizer; it is best used as soil amendment. The stumper to me is where do you put your organic refuse for the 30 days while you are rotating the first batch? Perhaps a traditional compost pile where “compost happens” at no cost?
