To serve: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve immediately.

Plump Raisin

Bread Pudding

Serves 6-8

1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened

12 slices raisin bread

4 eggs

2 egg yolks

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup half and half

3 cups reduced fat milk

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla • Maple Syrup

Spread butter or margarine on both sides of the bread. In an 11 by 7-inch baking dish, place the bread in two layers. In large mixing bowl, beat together eggs and egg yolks with whisk. Blend in sugar,-half and half, milk, cinnamon and vanilla, mixing until all ingredients are blended. Pour the egg mixture over the bread. Refrigerate overnight.

To Serve: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place baking dish in a large pan and pour hot water into large pan halfway up the sides of the baking dish.

Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve with warm maple syrup on top.
