RESOLUTION

The undersigned resjiectfully request (hr Su|wrvi*ors to give serious consideration to thr following resolution:

WHEREAS the majority of households on Yancey road by a margin of 2 to wish the remaining 1 1/2 miles to stay as they are;

and WHEREAS there has been no record accident on this road in the past five years;

and WHEREAS the Comprehensive Plan calls for saving exactly this kind of unpaved, “narrow, meandering road"

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED tharthe Supervisors remove this portion of Yancey road from the current road plan,

and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Supervisors move quickly to designate which other unpaved, narrow and meandering roads they would like to preserve as they are, s<i as to maintain the rural character of our County.
