Meanwhile, volunteers from Rappahannock brought back all the items the children bought and wrapped them up at Santa’s Work Shop so they were ready for Santa Claus to hand out to the children when they arrive back at the sheriff’s office about 11 a.m.
Baskets of food for the families of the children were also given out. Chris Keyser’s truck did time as a sleigh ferrying their presents back to the sheriff’s office.
The looks on their faces were all the reward the deputies said they would ever want.
In other sheriff’s office news: During the recent sobriety check, a joint effort of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police, a juvenile was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.
