year with his weight up I knew he’d do well. He is a wonderful wrestler. I fully expected him to go to state. He progressed this year and you could see a lack of experience at the sub-region level and then he got his 'sea legs’ and did very well.”
Heddleston practiced with the Fauquier High School wrestling team. Tied Proctor, wrestling coach at FHS, and his assistants took him on and helped him. Heddleston also had some coaching from Frank Paratore, the head coach at RCHS last year, who helped him prepare for regionals. His father took him back and forth to practice. “I think 1 did what other parents do — make it possible for child to participate. I took him to Fauquier topractice and we encouraged him.” They went back and forth to FHS about 10 times in a three week period for practice.
