echoed those comments, “Courtney is the type of student that comes along once in a career. Her strength of character combined with her love of learning finds its way to the hearts of all her teachers. Courtney has taught me more lessons of gracious life than I am sure I have taught her lessons in social studies.”
Mauro was one of the top 20 state finalists for the Wendy’s Heisman Award last year and worked as a volunteer candy-striper at Fauquier Hospital last summer, a DARE program volunteer and with a beautification project at the Amissville Baptist Church.
She was also president of the Pep Club, co-editor of the yearbook for two years, Student Council Association representative, RCHS representative to Girls’ State in 1997, president of the Bible Club and member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
