Currier and his wife were killed in an airplane crash a short while later. The horses went to Arthur Godfrey’s farm in Leesburg, then, after his death, to Rapidan River Farm in Culpeper. The new owners thought they were Lipizzans, and gave one of the mares, Silver Queen, to Pat Aitken of Culpeper. A friend finally recognized the horses as rare Andalusians.
