Ridge Area, she founded Shimmering Meadows in affiliation with the Art League School. “When I was young, I never had the opportunity, nor do I think any programs were available, to teach me the basic foundations of drawing and painting,” Vogel says. “I want to make available this art knowledge, especially to children who are so impressionable at a young age and eager to learn. The summer art program seemed like a natural way to make this happen.” Students will work in the climate-controlled teaching studio and outside on location.
