ing of animals at an early age. Bom and raised in Michigan, she contributes her fondest memories to the fact that she lived next door to the Detroit Zoo. Growing up so near to a zoo gave her the opportunity to learn how to love and respect the animals she so skillfully illustrates today.
“I draw portraits of what I see and try to convey an emotion through the eyes and expressions of the animals I choose to draw. It is a style I refer to as realistic impressionism”, Dodd says.
