He feels he could have done better at state. “In the 110 meter hurdles a guy in lane three growled or something and I was surprised. I got a little thrown off in timing and had to play catch-up just to place fifth. I think I could have done, a lot better.”
Starks is set to go to a track camp which begins on June 28 at Washington & Lee University and will be able to work with one of the top hurdling coaches in the U.S. is scheduled to be there so he is very excited about the opportunity. “I need to work on my form. The boys who beat me at state had the form, like in the Olympics. They just glided over the hurdles. I still run and jump. If I can get the form down I can do much better.”
