prayed, he said, speaking of his competition at the state meet held at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
“I expected to do well at districts," he said, “and I got three golds and one silver but regionals really shocked me. I was not expecting to be regional champ in the 110 meter hurdles.”
Setting high personal standards for himself is something Starks believes in. “Although I worked with him in cross country, which is a lot different than track, I have observed Adam is always a hard worker. He takes things personally and hates failure He has a high standard tor himself and is a highly motivated individual.”
