In summing up her thoughts the petite King said: “I consider it a privilege to be on the council. I want to become more informed about the issues mainly by listening carefully and accepting any suggestions, criticism and advice. In light of this, my goal is to base my votes on facts rather than feelings.”
The water and wastewater issues are her number one concerns, she said. The apartment building where she lives has a stressed drainfield, so she is personally aware of the benefits from a waste water system.
King lived most of her life in Catonsville, Md. and moved here three years ago following her daughter, Tricia Wingfield, who moved to Flint Hill with her husband, Larry, and son Matthew. They moved from Catonsville in order to send Matthew to Wakefield Country Day School, she said.
