Gorgeous Holiday Cheer
Once again, the Trinity Church Garden Guild is offering superb, florist quality poinsettia plants for the holidays. These splendid specimens were enthusiastically received last year, and all reports were that they out-shone and outlasted their inferior supermarket cousins. For further information and order blanks, contact the Trinity Church Office at 675-3716. Pick-up will be at the Parish Hall on Friday,] Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds go towards the building of a new church garden on Middle Street.
Christmas bazaar planned
The CCLC Christmas Bazaar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10a.m. to3p.m. at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue. Included will be a children’s] shopping room, a bake sale, a white elephant and crafts sale, face painting, lunch, pictures with Santa, and a Beanie baby raffle. RCDC December meeting set
The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will] hold its December meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library. An evening of good cheer and lively conversation will follow the short meeting. Light refreshments. For more information call Frank Schmidt at 987-8410.
Early release scheduled
The Rappahannock County Public Schools will release students at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 for teacher inservice.
Dinner, fun evening set
Journey back in time to the 16th Century with the Rappahannock County High School Choirs as they proudly present their first renaissance dinner on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. The festivities will begin at 5 p.m.
Featured are singing performances throughout the evening by the RCHS select choir. Sumptuous fare will be prepared by local talent of Rappahannock. The general choir will sing and serve the meals. Cost is $15 per person and $10 for children under 12 years of age. Reservations must be made by Dec. 2. A sell-out is expected, tickets are limited. Movie at The Theatre
The movie, The Truman Show will be presented at The Theatre on Gay Street in Washington on Nov. 27. It will begin promptly at 8 p.m.
