of the council. Indeed, it makes for a healthy and open debate when a variety of opinions are brought to the council table. And if we are to have a town council, those decisions should reflect its electorate, without the destructive and counterproductive influences that have until now been brought to bear on town issues by forces beyond the town limits.
Whether our current council can accomplish these goals is yet to be seen. However, we can all set as our goal that, when in the future the town elects its representatives, the voters of Washington will have the opportunity to vote their own personal convictions — free from undue outside influence and elect a council that will truly represent all town residents.
