Christmas, the result of e hybridization of hundreds of European festivals, is an indirect nod to cultural diversity.
Likewise, Fauquier County plays host to a diverse array of cultural and religious guests. Christian traditions from Anglican to Wesleyan are well represented, sharing their metaphysical neighborhood with Hinduism, Buddhism and a growing number of nature-centered spiritualists.
The approaches to the holiday season are as diverse as the individual celebrants, a fact which comes as no surprise during a holiday anchored in diverse roots and represented by a very unusual mythic figure.
