— This idea will work as a present for grownups that the children see often. Neighbors or grandparents that live nearby. Decorate the outside of a soup can with colored paper. Using popsicle sticks as the stems, create “flowers” with colored-paper blooms. Have children write on each stick a job they will perform for the recipient — ie. dust the bottom shelves of all the furniture, vacuum the rug, feed the cat, walk the dog... When the children are visiting, they can pick a flower and complete the job they’ve chosen. It’s a' gift that keeps on giving all year long.
