The Rappahannock County Garden Club turned its attention to a different aspect of gardens for the November meeting.
The topic was “The World of Virginia Birds” and the program was presented by local bird expert John Trott of Flint Hill. Mr. Trott showed his wonderful slides of birds which occur in Rappahannock at various seasons or year round while giving a running commentary pointing out distinguishing characteristics of each. President’s List
Harris Evans has made the first. quarter President’s List at the Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School in Front Royal.
To achieve this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or above. He is the son of John and Margaret Evans of Washington, Va.
The Middle School at Randolph-Macon Academy is a non-military program for boarding and day students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The Upper School is the nation’s only co-educational boarding school with an Air Force Junior ROTC program. Randolph-Macon Academy was founded in 1892.
