deserves a seat on council because of their importance or the amount of taxes they collect for the town is unAmerican. Fortunately in a democracy the only person deserving an elected office is the person who gets the most votes.
The democratic process is working in Washington, Va. It has worked well in America since 1776. Anyone truly concerned about the town’s well being would let the elected council function.
