Meeting planned
The regular monthly meeting of the Amissville Area Community Association will be held at the Amissville United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m. Come and join in a discussion of issues relevant to the community of Amissville in a positive setting. On the agenda for this meeting will be by-laws adoption and ways to better communicate with our citizenry. To help you plan, future meetings will be held on the second Thursday of each month.
Tax relief deadline
The deadline for filing an application for tax relief for the low income elderly and disabled is July 1. For additional information call the Commissioner of Revenue Office at 675-3513.
Child Safety Seat
Installation Day set
The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor Child Safety Seat Installation Day on Saturday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office in Washington.
Every year thousands of children are severely injured nationwide in motor vehicle accidents as a result of not being properly restrained. The community is invited to receive one-on-one instruction from certified child safety seat installers. Bring your primary child transport vehicle and your safety seat for inspection. RCCA meeting set
The Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance will meet Tuesday, June 15, at the Washington Fire Hall. Reports will be made by the Governance, Mission Statement, and OutreachEducation-Research Committees. All are invited to attend.
