Cathy Lou Smith attended the Osbourn Alumni Association dinner on June 5 in Manassas and enjoyed seeing her friends and classmates. She is looking forward to the Class of 1959’s reunion scheduled for Sept 11 at the home of Jeanette Cook Smith. (I knew there was a reason I liked Cathy Lou - I too, graduated from Osbourn High just a “few” years ago!)
The Rappahannock Soccer League’s spring soccer picnic will be on Saturday, June 19 at Lake Arrowhead from 12 until 5 p.m. with awards to be presented in the afternoon.
Parents and players are encouraged to come out and have a great time! RSVP to your team mom or dad. A list follows of items requested of each player: U-14-hamburger and hot dog buns, U-12desserts, U-10-veggie casseroles, U-8-salads, and U-6-snacks (chips, salsa, etc.).
The Amissville Baptist Church will hold their Vacation Bible School from June 21 through June 25, 9 a.m. until 12 with the. theme “Son Castle Faire”. Vacation Bible School is for all community children ages three years through sixth grade. Come out to the pre-registration “Village Faire Carnival” on Saturday, June 19 from 3 until 5 p.m.
Last reminder that the Early Learning Center of Culpeper is offering a babysitting course for ages 12-16. Registration forms are available at the Early Learning Center located at 673 Sunset Lane and the cost is $10.
The course will begin Monday, June 21 and run through Friday, June 25, from 9 a.m. until 12. The registration from and fee is due by Friday, June 18.
